Due to the Anzac holiday weekend the next collection day for parcels is Tuesday 28th April 2020. As I won't be able to ship any parcels until we are in Level 3, I have removed the essentials collection from the website and opened all products for order and immediate shipping on Tuesday 28th April 2020. 

All backorders will also be shipped on Tuesday 28th April 2020. 

Please consider the couriers will be extremely busy as we enter level 3 and delivery timeframes are likely to be slightly longer than usual. Please consider this when ordering items for special occasions etc.

These are unprecedented times for us all and our hearts go out to all of those affected by Covid 19. We will be forever in debt to all the essential workers who are tirelessly working to protect and care for us during these difficult times.

After a lot of consideration and watching larger retailers reopen their online operations here in New Zealand for essential goods, we made the decision to seek approval from MBIE to deliver essential goods under Alert Level 4.

We were seeing so many essential goods being priced much higher than RRP and overseas retailers continue to ship essential and non-essential goods into New Zealand. By making our essential goods available to purchase during Alert Level 4, we hope we can do our own little bit towards keeping the market honest and also provide New Zealanders with safe access to a wider range of essential items from New Zealand owned and operated retailers without having to leave their homes.

We have received approval from MBIE to sell essential goods during Alert Level 4.

We have taken a significant amount of time to determine what essential products we would make available for online ordering and contactless delivery during Alert Level 4 to help our customers. Rather than reinvent the wheel or draw our own conclusions about what we thought is essential during this time, we have simply followed exactly what has been determined essential by the larger approved retailers such as Farmers, Trade Me, The Warehouse and Kmart.

Every item which we have deemed to be essential can be found in larger retailers who have also been approved by MBIE to operate online under Alert Level 4.

As a small family run ecommerce business, we have always operated the business in a manner which is fully compliant with the requirements of Alert Level 4:

  • All stock is held at our home premises.
  • We don’t employ any staff (no bubbles being popped here!).
  • All our sales are made online.
  • All deliveries of stock are contactless as all couriers have authority to leave our deliveries in a designated place on our premises.
  • All parcels are shipped in a contactless way as all parcels are collected by our local Courier Post courier from a designated place on our premises.
  • We take all public health measures necessary to keep everyone safe.

The only difference for us during Alert Level 4 is that we will only be shipping essential goods.

You can still order non-essential goods during this time. These non-essential orders will be treated as pre orders during this time and will be shipped once the current restrictions have been lifted.

If you place an order which includes essential and non-essential goods you can either wait to receive all items after shipping restrictions are lifted, or you can choose to pay two shipping fees to separate shipping of essential from non-essential goods.

If you wish to place an order for essential goods and wait to receive your goods until Alert Level 4 is lifted, please let us know by adding a note to your order. We will happily hold the stock for you.

Please be assured that everything on our website is in stock. We will never take payment for any products, which we don’t physically hold in stock.

Some of our suppliers are unfortunately not able to continue operating during lockdown so there are some products that we will not be able to restock during Alert Level 4. If a product is out of stock you can click “notify me” on the product page to be sent an email when this is back in stock. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
